We are aware of information circulating in the community and online suggesting that certain documents are being withheld from the Mass Casualty Commission by the RCMP.

As part of our work investigating what happened on April 18 and 19, 2020, the Commission has been requesting many documents from a variety of sources. Collecting a large number of documents is a complex process that takes time. We continue to receive information and request documents as our investigations work progresses. We expect document production to continue throughout the inquiry.

We are not aware of these documents being withheld. If this occurs and we are not receiving information that is important to our work, the Commission has the authority to issue further subpoenas as needed.

We encourage anyone who has information that they think the Commission should know to please phone or email us at info@MassCasualtyCommission.ca or 902-407-7532.
